Great Outback BBQ

FAQ

Great Outback BBQ FAQs

Each year, people from all over Australia gather ‘round the BBQ to show support for Aussie farmers doing it tough. GOBBQ is an opportunity to make a real direct impact in the lives of Australian farmers, in a fun way!

Whether you prefer to buy a seat at our virtual BBQ or host your own physical BBQ, GOBBQ is a great opportunity to connect with others for a great cause.

Fire up the barbie, or your social media feeds, and ask your friends, family, and network for a donation to Frontier Services.

As Australia’s oldest bush charity, Frontier Services has been supporting outback Australians for more than 100 years. By hosting a GOBBQ, you will help provide community resilience, recovery, volunteer services, and support to our farmers in remote Australia.

Your support allows us to provide services to indigenous communities, isolated properties, mining communities, and other remotely located communities.

The date of your event is up to you! If you need to change your event date after your initial registration, log in to your registration page.

Hosting your event and banking your funds before 31st December 2023 allows us to provide immediate support to Aussie farmers.

Contact a member of our events team at events@frontierservices.org or by phone at 1300 787 247.

If you can’t host a Great Outback BBQ due to unforeseen circumstances such as COVID, we have made it simple for your community to support Aussie farmers!

There are other ways to show your support by buying a ticket to our virtual BBQ for just $20 and share it with your friends, family, and network. If you can’t host a BBQ but still want to host a physical event, you can do else like a bake sale, or a movie night, or a pizza party.

The important thing to remember is that you still need to register your event. Once you register, Frontier Services will provide you with all the support you need to raise funds for our Aussie farmers.

Fundraising FAQs

If a donation cheque has been written out to you personally, please endorse cheque (including your reference number) and mail it in with a completed receipt register to Frontier Services.

It is not a good idea to send a cash donation in the mail. You may drop off the cash at Frontier Services along with your information or you can deposit the cash into your checking account and send a personal cheque from your account.

You can’t enter a cheque online. The status of the cheque will be pending until the cheque is received by Frontier Services.
